You make it seem like Israel wants this war, that Israel wants to be in Gaza, and that Israel is the only aggressor. Israel does not want to be in Gaza. Palestinian civilians do not want Israel in Gaza. That is obvious. But what about Hamas. It doesnt seem like they tried too hard to prevent this conflict.

Since Hamas took power in Gaza, they have indiscriminately fired rockets into Israeli cities on a daily basis. Did Hamas think that Israel would never respond? Israel waited and waited but the rockets continued. Was Hamas so ignorant? Nothey baited Israel into Gaza. If Hamas were not firing rockets, Israel would not be in Gaza they dont want to be there.

I have attempted to pose a question about peace, but instead i am reading comments of aggression below. i cannot begin to understand what people from Palestine and Israel are going through, and I am sure that there are numerous ways to justify the pain and hurt that both sides feel and the aggression that comes from that.

In this context, though, can we please attempt to understand and communicate our common humanity and basic human goodness that we all possess and share?

what international law did Israel break? The ceasefire was broken when Hamas continued to fire rockets into Israel shortly after the ceasefire ended. While aggression may not solve anything, it is better than just sitting around wondering where the next rocket will land. If a ceasefire resumes, you can bet Hamas will make firing rockets 20-30 km into Israel’s borders a daily thing.

I would love any sources you could give for Israeli strikes into Gaza not as retaliation for missile strikes.

i do take issue with the comment “all terrorists r muslims.” this is simply not true as there have been terrorist attacks here in the US that were not committed by muslims.

we had peace agreement with egypt and jordan,and we gave away land for making it happen.

3 years ago we got out of gaza, throw settlers,our ppl,from their home,and gave it to the palestianians,fair enough?

i cant remember what they gave from their side to make peace happen..oh,maybe bc they dont believe in peace!?

country size given was 12%of the the whole mid east,60%of that 12%was an arid desert.

israel size is about the size of NJ,compare it to the rest of the mid east countries and u will see we`re minority.
